Bernard Hibbitts

Bernard Hibbitts is a distinguished legal professional with extensive experience in academia and legal publishing. As the Founder, Publisher, and Editor-in-Chief of JURIST since February 1996, Bernard leads a global team of over 125 law student volunteers, focusing on critical reporting of the rule of law during crises. Bernard also serves as a Professor of Law at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where a commitment to legal history and innovation in legal news has been recognized with multiple teaching awards. Prior roles include serving as a Research Assistant at Harvard Law School and as a Judicial Law Clerk to Justice Gerald Le Dain at the Supreme Court of Canada.
