Steven Sisman, CSM

Steven Sisman, CSM has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Steven started their career as a Tax Preparer at VITA Income Tax Assistance in 2006 and later gained experience as an Accountant and Auditor Intern at Keiter Stephens Tobey CPAs in 2007. In 2008, they served as a Financial Advisor Intern at Northwestern Mutual.

Steven then transitioned to the finance industry, joining the CFA Institute as a Payroll Assistant and Accounts Payable Temp in 2010 before moving to VA CLE as an Executive Assistant and Publishing Director Temp. Steven's next role was at S&P Global Market Intelligence, where they served as a Financial Statement Analyst, Translator, and Systems Developer, and subsequently as a Media and Communications Industry Analyst.

In 2012, Steven joined UVA Community Credit Union as a Senior Financial Analyst in Finance and Risk Management. Steven held this position for ten years before joining Justice Federal Credit Union in 2022 as a Senior Financial Analyst.

Steven Sisman, CSM, has a diverse education history. Steven holds a Graduate Certificate in Business from Liberty University, which they obtained from 2019 to 2020. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Finance with an Accounting concentration from Virginia Tech, where they studied from 2007 to 2009. Steven also has an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Business Administration from PVCC Workforce Services, which they completed between 2004 and 2007. In 2006, they participated in a Summer Study Abroad program at Otto Krause Technical School in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where they focused on Engineering, AutoCAD, and Spanish. Before college education, Steven attended Saint Anne's Belfield in Charlottesville, VA from 2000 to 2004 and Liceo Italiano in Istanbul, Turkey from 1997 to 2000. Steven also had a Summer Language Study Abroad experience in Florence, Venice, and Bologna, Italy in 1998.

In addition to their academic degrees, Steven Sisman has obtained several certifications. Steven became a Certified Credit Union Investment Professional (CCUIP) from the Credit Union National Association in August 2016. In May 2019, they achieved the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). Steven is also a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certified by the Scrum Alliance.
