Marek Michalik

Marek Michalik has held various roles in the software engineering and machine learning fields since 2011. Marek began their career as a Junior Software Quality Assurance Engineer and a Medium IT Security Engineer at Future Processing Sp. z o.o. in 2011. Marek then worked as a Web Developer at WebSpirit from 2013 to 2015 and at Softnauts from 2015 to 2017. In 2017, they were a Golang Developer at Futuramo. From 2018 to 2021, they held various roles at Brainly, including Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Senior Backend Engineer in Machine Learning, and Backend Engineer. Most recently, they have been a Senior Machine Learning Engineer and Lead Machine Learning Engineer at Justpoint since 2022 and an Anti-Abuse Engineer at Proton since 2021.

Marek Michalik obtained their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Information Technology from The Silesian University of Technology between 2008 and 2011. Marek has also obtained various certifications from Coursera, including Natural Language Processing with Probabilistic Models, Natural Language Processing with Sequence Models, Natural Language Processing with Classification and Vector Spaces, Machine Learning, Biology Meets Programming: Bioinformatics for Beginners, Structuring Machine Learning Projects, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization, and Neural Networks and Deep Learning.
