Shelly VanArsdalen, CPA, CIA, currently serves as the Corporate Controller at JW Aluminum since March 2019, overseeing an accounting department focused on various financial responsibilities and coordinating plant controllers across multiple facilities. Previously, as Managing Director at SRV Accounting Solutions LLC, Shelly provided technical accounting guidance and supported public companies in adopting new accounting standards. Prior to that, Shelly held various leadership roles at General Motors, including Assistant Controller-Leasing and Environmental and Senior Manager SEC Reporting, managing large teams and overseeing complex financial reporting processes. Additional experience includes managerial positions at Chrysler, Sonoco Products Company, and J.S. Richter Ltd, with a strong emphasis on audit management, compliance, and financial strategy. Shelly holds a BA in Accounting from Hillsdale College and furthered education at Walsh College.
