Emily Hopper

Emily Hopper is a seasoned data scientist with extensive experience in both academia and industry. Currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at JW Player since January 2021, Emily has also held the position of Product Analyst. Prior to this role, Emily participated as a Data Science Fellow at Insight Data Science for a brief period in 2020 and worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory from October 2016 to February 2020, focusing on building mathematical models of geophysical systems and analyzing vast datasets. Emily's educational background includes a PhD in Geophysics and Seismology from Brown University and a combined B.A. and M.Sci. in Natural Sciences - Earth Sciences from the University of Cambridge. Additionally, Emily was recognized with a fellowship at Faculty, where training in AI and ML was complemented by an internship at a small business cash-advance provider.
