Sergio Aviña has extensive experience in health care administration, currently serving as Division Director at JWCH Institute since 2002, where responsibilities include overseeing health programs focused on HIV, STD, and substance abuse prevention and treatment for indigent populations in downtown Skid Row, including homeless individuals. Previously, Sergio held the position of Manager of Prevention Services at AltaMed Health Services from 1998 to 2001 and worked as Job Placement Coordinator at Cerritos College from 1994 to 1997, facilitating job placements for students. Sergio holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Administration from California State University, Long Beach, earned between 2001 and 2006.
