Tarique Shamim

Tarique Shamim has over a decade of experience in electrical engineering, with a significant tenure at K-Electric since May 2015 as a Shift Engineer in the Distributions Operation Control Room. Responsibilities include monitoring and managing the 11KV distribution system, carrying out switching operations, and load balancing, while adhering to safety and operational protocols. Prior to this role, Tarique held positions such as Assistant Engineer for Substation and Underground Maintenance & Operations, focusing on the operation and maintenance of transformers, circuits, and cable networks. Earlier experiences include roles at alfanar Co. as an Assistant Technician, Schneider Electric as an Electrical Technician, and Siemens as an Apprentice, which provided hands-on training and expertise in electrical systems and maintenance. Tarique holds a B.Tech (Honors) and a B.Tech (Pass) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Newports Institute of Communications and Economics, as well as a Diploma of Associate Engineering from Jinnah Polytechnic Institute Karachi.
