Wahid Asghar

Following a 28-year stint in the Pakistan Army, where he retired as Colonel, Mr. Wahid Asghar joined KE as Chief of Security in 2009. In this role, Mr. Asghar has been managing the Company’s Security , Criminal Litigation, Works & Estate, Administration and Supply Chain functions. As an essential services provider, security at KE is essential and Mr. Asghar implemented a plan to upgrade security at KE’s installations, particularly power generation plants and other strategic assets by installing CCTV systems, developing strict security procedures / instructions and improving other security control measures.

In addition to Security, Mr. Asghar also leads efforts to identify key land assets appropriate for development of power infrastructure and he has oversight of the Supply Chain function for contracting, vendor development/management for material and services.

He has completed several professional military courses. He is recipient of the Tamgha-e-Basalat for his achievements in security operations. He was twice awarded Chief of Army Staff Commendation Card as well. He has also served on special assignments in Pakistan and foreign missions abroad.
