John Free

John Free is an experienced design executive currently serving as the VP of UX & Design at both K2 Insurance Services and K2 Cyber since December 2023. Prior to these roles, John was the Chief Design Officer at CoverHound from September 2015 to November 2023, where efforts focused on transforming the online insurance shopping experience. Additionally, John held senior positions including Chief Design Officer and VP of Brand, Design & UX at CyberPolicy, contributing to the development of the world's first marketplace for small businesses to buy cyber insurance. Freelance design work was performed at Free Studios, while earlier roles included Sr. Creative Manager at MaxPoint and Manager of Creative Design at iContact. John holds a Bachelor of Science in Studio Art from Virginia Tech, obtained in 1999.
