Kathleen Updepac

Kathleen UpdePac, PE, currently serves as the Environmental, Health, Safety, Security Manager at k2 Pure Solutions. Previously, at Marathon Petroleum Corporation, Kathleen held the position of Process Safety Management Coordinator, where key achievements included managing Safety Management requirements for the Renewable Fuels Project, coordinating extensive Process Hazard Analysis studies, and significantly reducing overdue action items. Other roles included Process Engineer in Hydroprocessing and Wastewater/Utilities, contributing to cost-saving optimizations and reliability improvements. Kathleen also started her career at Tesoro Corporation, gaining experience in process engineering through a rotational development program and internships. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Davis, and a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Chemistry from UC Santa Barbara.
