Alexander R. Baugh

In February 2016, Alexander R. Baugh was appointed President of Liability and Financial Lines, bringing his 34 years of experience in numerous underwriting, distribution and strategic roles to AIG Commercial. Prior to this appointment, he was President of Global Casualty.

Previously, Mr. Baugh held the position of Chief Risk Officer and Head of Strategic Planning of AIG Property Casualty from January 2012 until May 2013. In this role, he was in charge of continuing to improve AIG’s Property Casualty risk profile and aligning its strategic planning activity with that of AIG.

Prior to this role, Mr. Baugh was President and Chief Executive Officer of Chartis Europe Holdings Limited. Mr. Baugh spent over 20 years in Europe, holding senior positions in London and Paris.

Mr. Baugh earned a BA in Economics from the University of Virginia. He is currently a member of the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters. He serves on the Board of Directors at Enactus, an international non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring students to improve the world through entrepreneurial action.
