David Connelly is the Chief Financial Officer of K3 Learning, Inc. With over 25 years of financial management experience, he served in senior positions ranging from venture funded start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. Just prior to his role at K3, Mr. Connelly served, on a consulting basis as the acting CFO/ Controller for companies in industries including: telecommunication, retail, wholesale distribution, manufacturing, defense contracting, social media, construction, security services and building products, and provided tax advisory services to business owners.
In 2001, Mr. Connelly founded Corvista Business Development, LLC; created to help DARPA, the U.S. Defense Departments advance R & D entity, transition early stage science projects into thriving companies. Prior to founding Corvista, Mr. Connelly held CFO, COO positions as a “Turn-Around” executive, helping companies in need of change management. Prior to Corvista, he worked for Universal, Inc. in both finance and operational executive positions, including group level CFO for Universal’s $250 million concert and merchandising operations, VP of Finance and Administration for Universal Music Publishing and Director of Strategic and Financial Planning, for Universal corporate. He began his career as a CPA, Tax Accountant and Auditor for Grant Thornton LLP, a firm currently ranked as the 6th largest international accounting firm and number 2 on Vault's "Top 50 accounting Firms" list for 2013.
Mr. Connelly received a B.A. in Accounting from University of Massachusetts, Amherst, holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and earned his CPA license in Massachusetts in 1985.
