Dr. Manu Kumar's work experience includes roles as an Investor and Board Member at tbh, OtterTune, and Agenda Hero since 2020. Dr. Manu is also the Founder & Chief Firestarter at K9 Ventures, a Pre-Seed venture fund focused on supporting technology startups in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2009. Additionally, they are the Co-Founder and CEO of HiHello, Inc. since 2018. Dr. Kumar has also been involved as a Co-founder, Investor & Board Observer at Carta since 2012. Dr. Manu has served as an Investor and Board Member at Divebell, Daughters of Rosie, Invisible AI, and Forethought since 2019 and 2017 respectively.

Dr. Manu Kumar began their education at Modern School in an unspecified year. Dr. Manu then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, from 1992 to 1995. Following this, Dr. Kumar pursued a Master of Science degree in Software Engineering with a concentration in Business at Carnegie Mellon University, from 1995 to 1997. Dr. Manu later attended Stanford University, where they obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from 2002 to 2005, and completed their education with a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Stanford University, from 2002 to 2007.
