K9s For Warriors
Maya Rome has extensive experience in animal care and welfare, currently serving as the Intake & Adoption Coordinator at K9s For Warriors since May 2019 and as an Animal Care Technician at the Helen Woodward Animal Center since May 2018. Additionally, Maya has been working as a Dog Sitter/Walker for Rover.com since June 2017. Maya's prior roles include an Animal Caregiver Intern at Best Friends Animal Society and Pasado's Safe Haven, as well as involvement with the Animals & Society Institute as a former Club Vice President of the Students Animals and Society Institute chapter. Maya's career began in the service industry at Finn's Coastal Cuisine as a Busser, Hostess, and Back Server. Maya holds a degree in Art, Social Justice & Animal Ethics from the University of Redlands, completed in 2017, and graduated from Jefferson Community School in 2013.
