Luke Rafla-Yuan's work experience includes various roles at different companies. Luke started their career in 2011 as an Electrical Engineering Intern at PNI. In 2013, they worked as a Digital Design and Verification Engineering Intern at Texas Instruments. The following year, they interned at Texas Instruments again, this time in the role of an Embedded Systems and Software Engineering Intern. In 2015, they joined illumie as a Software Development Manager, but their tenure was short-lived as they left the company after a few months. The same year, they also joined Lockheed Martin as a Software Engineer in their Engineering Leadership Development Program. Lastly, Luke Rafla-Yuan worked at KAB Laboratories, Inc, starting in 2017. Luke initially held the position of Senior Software Engineer and later transitioned to the role of Principle Software Engineer.

Luke Rafla-Yuan obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 2010 to 2014. Luke then pursued a Master's degree in Engineering Management at Cornell University from 2014 to 2015. In addition to their formal education, they earned a certification in Security+ from CompTIA in March 2018.
