Shu Nay Tang has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. They started their career in 2002 as a Software Engineer I at Northrop Grumman Corporation, where they implemented GCCS MTC Missile tracking and fixed bugs in GCCS MTC application using C++, JAVA, and JNI. In 2004, they were promoted to Software Engineer II, where they designed and developed a web service using C#, COM Interop, XML, WSDL, and SOAP. They also developed a web-based client application to retrieve data from web services and registered the web service with a UDDI registry. In 2006, they became a Software Engineer III and designed, developed, and maintained the JTCW Link-16 JRE multi-threaded client/server application using C++, COM, and MFC. They also implemented a multi-threaded application to interface with RTI DDS, acting as a conduit for 3rd party applications and internal JTCW applications to interact with JTCW's MS SQL Server database. Since 2011, Shu Nay Tang has been working at KAB Laboratories, Inc as a Senior Software Engineer, responsible for maintaining and improving the Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) DEIP application. The application retrieves maritime data from various sources, integrates/fuses the data, and stores it in an Oracle database for future analysis using C# and Visual Basic.
Shu Nay Tang holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science from UC San Diego. They have also obtained several additional certifications including CompTIA Linux+ in May 2015, Microsoft 70-680 Windows 7 Configuring in June 2012, and CompTIA Security+ in April 2012.
