Dara F. Mitchell

Dara Mitchell has a diverse and extensive work experience. Dara started their career as a Management Consultant at Ernst & Young in 1991, where they focused on strategic, operational, and financial reviews for banks and insurance companies. During their time at Ernst & Young, Dara also co-developed the company's "Balanced Scorecard" methodology for defining strategic performance measures within financial services organizations.

In 1997, they joined 3i plc as a Principal, where they became a lead investor in the software and digital media venture team. Dara sourced, led, executed, and managed investments, with a total value of deals led in excess of $70 million. Dara stayed at 3i plc until May 2005.

Following their time at 3i plc, Dara co-founded and served as a Partner at NewDelta Capital, a Corporate Finance and Strategic Advisory firm. Dara managed the firm, which focused on working with consumer-facing companies. Dara grew NewDelta Capital from inception to a recognized specialist firm in less than 3 years, and the firm was subsequently acquired by Silverwood Partners. During their time at NewDelta Capital, they advised clients ranging from pre-revenue tech companies to traditional consumer companies on capital strategies, acquisitions, and exit planning. Their role at NewDelta Capital ended in September 2012.

Most recently, Dara Mitchell has been with Kadant Inc. since January 2013. Dara started as the Director of Corporate Development and was later promoted to Vice President of Corporate Development. Currently, they hold the role of Senior Vice President at Kadant Inc.

Dara Mitchell completed an MBA in Finance from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management from 1995 to 1997. Prior to that, they attended Harvard University from 1987 to 1991, where they earned a degree in English and Visual & Environmental Studies. Dara's education history also includes attending Buckingham Browne & Nichols, although the dates and degree information for this institution are not provided.
