Albert Groothedde

Albert Groothedde has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Albert started their career as a Software Engineer at CIBG in 2015. Albert then worked at Glencore Grain BV as a Lead Frontend Engineer, where they were responsible for front-end development using Typescript and AngularJS. After that, they joined Sogeti Nederland as a Senior Software Engineer.

In 2016, Albert joined Raet as a Software Engineer and served as the front-end lead in their team. Albert also provided guidance to Raet in creating a baseline for future projects. Albert later worked at Glencore Agriculture as a Senior Frontend Developer, where they built a front-end application for data collection using Angular 2 and PHP for the backend.

From 2017 to 2018, Albert worked at ING Nederland, initially as a Frontend Software Engineer, supporting application teams in delivering high-quality apps and building The Feature Platform. Albert later became a Lead Software Engineer, responsible for enhancing the autonomy and sharing of features across channels, languages, and countries through a microfrontend architecture.

In 2020, Albert joined Rabobank as a Software Engineer, working on upgrading major frontend dependencies for a monorepo platform used by 400+ developers. Their primary objective was to ensure a seamless upgrade process without freezing development for other teams.

In 2021, Albert joined Mobiel.nl as a Software Architect. Albert then worked at Frontmen - Frontend Experts as a Software Engineer, specializing in front-end development.

Currently, Albert Groothedde is working at Kadena as an Architect at the Developer Experience Team.

Albert Groothedde attended HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht from 2007 to 2008 but did not complete a specific degree or field of study during this time. Later, from 2008 to 2012, they studied at Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology with a specialization in Software Engineering.
