Kaja Gjessing-Baker

Director, Customer Experience, EMEA at Kadence

Kaja Gjessing-Baker is the current Director of Customer Experience for EMEA at Kadence. Kaja has a long and impressive work history, starting with CHARGIFI LIMITED, then Locus Energy, and eventually leading up to their current role.

Kaja first started with Locus Energy as the Director of Operations in September 2009. At the time, Locus Energy was a start-up with only five employees. Kaja helped grow the business to a team of 45 employees. In their role as Director of Operations, Kaja was responsible for customer satisfaction, client relations, and client retention. Kaja also developed and enforced all internal and external processes which helped business growth.

Under Kaja's leadership, Locus Energy grew from 20 clients to 3,000+ clients. Kaja successfully implemented Netsuite (CRM/ERP platform) in 3 months to account for all client details, inventory, sales, and accounting. Kaja also re-organized the company into structured teams (i.e. sales, IT, tech, support, etc) and led communication and coordination efforts between customer demands and the tech team.

In their role as Director of Operations, Kaja also worked closely with the CFO, CEO, VP of Marketing & Sales, and other key stakeholders to provide forecasts and manage the business plan. Kaja was responsible for all day-to-day operations and worked with a PR company to build social media capabilities, press releases, and other forms of media acknowledgment.

Kaja's hard work and dedication to their role at Locus Energy led to their being promoted to Director of Customer Experience for EMEA at Kadence in August 2013. In their current role, Kaja is responsible for overseeing the customer experience for Kadence's clients in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Kaja Gjessing-Baker has a Bachelor's degree in Public Policy from Syracuse University - Maxwell School and a Bachelor's degree in Policy Studies and International Relations from Syracuse University. Kaja also has a certification from SuccessHACKER in Certified Customer Success Manager (CCSM) Level 1.

They work with Jared Olschewski - Director, Customer Experience, Helen Attia - VP, Relationships, and Jamie Addis - VP, Product & Engineering. Their manager is Dan Bladen, Co-Founder & CEO.
