John T. has over 20 years of professional experience in the construction and real estate industry. John began their career in 1997 as a Design Engineer with Whitman Requardt & Assoc., LLP, specializing in water and wastewater systems. In 1998, they moved to The Whiting-Turner Contracting Co. as a Project Engineer. In 2000, they joined Deloitte as a Senior Manager in the Advisory practice, where they provided construction tax planning, construction audit and risk assessments, valuation of machinery and equipment, valuations for financial reporting and tax purposes, construction advisory services, and cost segregation services. In 2014, John T. joined EY as a Senior Manager in the Construction & Real Estate Advisory practice, where they advised clients on program and project controls related to cost, schedule, risk management, procurement, quality, closeout, and turnover to operations for projects in excess of $2B both domestically and internationally. In 2019, they joined SmartPM Technologies, Inc. as VP, Customer Success, and also began serving as Board President of MDE School, a private special needs school in the East Cobb area. In 2021, John T. was appointed Director, Strategic Partners at Kahua.
John T. received their Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Bucknell University in 1997. John then continued their education in Civil Engineering at UNSW, though they have not yet completed their degree. In November of 2020, John obtained a Cert Prep: Project Management Professional (PMP)® from LinkedIn. John later obtained their Project Management Professional (PMP)® from the Project Management Institute in December of 2020.
