Nicholas Johnson has a long history of working in various positions across a range of industries. In 2021, they began working as the Chief Evangelist for Kahua. Prior to this, they were a Business Leader for .edu, .gov, and utilities at e-Builder (2020). From 2018 to 2020, they held the roles of Chief Advancement Officer, Chief Mission Officer, and Capital Campaign Director at the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Georgia, where they helped lead a successful $7mm Capital Campaign. From 2015 to 2020, they were the East Region Account Executive for Beck Technology Ltd. From 2013 to 2015, they were the Director of Collaboration for Amigos for Christ. From 2012 to 2013, they were the East Region Sales Manager for Trimble Water. From 2007 to 2012, they held the roles of Board of Directors and Director of Collaboration for Amigos for Christ. From 2005 to 2007, they were a Board of Directors member for Peach State Federal Credit Union. Finally, from 2001 to 2005, they were a Senior Sales Executive, Business Development Executive for Education, and Sr. Solutions Consultant for Autodesk and Constructware, respectively.

Nicholas Johnson began their educational journey in 1980 at Belmont Abbey College, where they studied Sociology. In 1981, they transferred to The University of Georgia to pursue a degree in Agricultural Engineering. In 1999, they attended St. Stephen Center for Diaconal Formation and obtained their Ordination to Permanent Diaconate in Christian Theology in 2004. Johnson also attended CGHS, though it is unclear what they studied there.
