Nick Whitlock has had a varied work experience. In 2022, they began working as a Business Analyst at Kahua. In 2020, they started working as a Senior Cloud Analyst/Consultant at Oracle, where they prepared and presented workshops and demos to clients to help them understand how to use cloud products. In 2019, they were a Farm Intern at Athens Land Trust, Inc. and also worked on a Sustainability Capstone Project for University of Georgia, Let Us Compost. Additionally, they were a Naturalist for the National Park Service that same year. In 2016, they were an Accounting/Administrative/Legal Intern at Hawkins Parnell & Young, LLP, where they gained an understanding of accounting systems and performed legal research. Nick was also an Entrepreneur for The University of Georgia: FABricate entrepreneurial initiative in 2017, where they were awarded a grant to develop and incubate a sustainable vertical mushroom farm. Finally, they were a Project Supervisor at Classic City Enterprises in 2016.
Nick Whitlock obtained a Sustainability Certificate from The University of Georgia in 2019, a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness/Agricultural Business Operations from University of Georgia - Franklin College of Arts and Sciences in 2019, and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from University of Georgia - Franklin College of Arts and Sciences in 2019. Additionally, they obtained an Oracle Financials Cloud: General Ledger 2019 Certified Implementation Specialist certification from Oracle in April 2020.
