Steven Nawahine serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Kahuku Medical Center since July 2023. Previously, Steven held the role of Chief Executive Officer for Pacific Healthcare from April 2018 to January 2024, and for Kalakaua Gardens from May 2015 to April 2018, where the community was the first senior living facility in Hawaiʻi to offer a comprehensive range of care under one roof. Earlier experience includes Executive Director at Chandler Health Care and Chief Executive Officer at Sante Of North Scottsdale. Steven's career also encompasses roles in healthcare administration, IT management, and international product management across various companies. Steven earned a Bachelor of Science in International Business/Information Systems from Brigham Young University–Hawaii.

Kahuku Medical Center (KMC) is the only medical center providing services with hospital, inpatient, outpatient and ancillary services to Oahu’s North Shore communities from Kualoa to Waimea, also known as Ko‘olauloa. Formerly known as Kahuku Hospital, KMC is a community hospital, supporting the community and supported by the community. KMC is an affiliate of the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation, the network of community hospitals whose mission is to provide accessible, high quality, cost-effective services that address the healthcare needs of Hawaii’s unique island communities. The hospital includes 21 private room beds and the North Shore’s only 24-hour emergency room.
