Jacky Lu

Jacky Lu has a diverse work experience, starting as a Developer and Researcher at the Berkeley Institute for Data Science in 2017. They then worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Stripe in 2018, and later joined Berkeley Deep Drive as a Researcher. In 2019, they became a Machine Learning Engineer at Stripe. Additionally, they worked as an Artist/Designer at SUPERB Productions from 2017 to 2019 and as an Artist in Residence at Gray Area from 2020 onwards. Currently, Jacky is a Co-Founder and Head of Creative at Kaiber, a position they have held since 2023. While working at The Daily Californian from 2016 to 2018, they contributed as a Contributor/Asst. Editor, focusing on designing, building, and writing interactive features, data stories, and news applications, as well as publishing weekly illustrations. During their time at the Berkeley Institute for Data Science and the Berkeley Deep Drive, Jacky also gained experience in research and development.

Jacky Lu attended the University of California, Berkeley from 2015 to 2019, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
