Alex Pihlak has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Starting from 2010, they worked as a Sauté Cook at Mario and Luigis Italian Restaurant for two years. From 2012 to 2015, they worked at Penn State University in various roles, including ITS Supervisor and ResCom Student Manager. At Muscle Milk, from 2013 to 2015, they served as a Collegiate Ambassador, representing the brand at a college campus.
In 2015, at Optum, Alex held the position of Technology Development Program Intern, where they worked on a Java application and gained experience in healthcare business development and XML and xQuery big data work. Later at Optum, they became a Sr IT Quality Analyst, leading QA on RESTful API's dealing with 837 claims services, and also served as a Project Manager and Scrum Master.
Moving on to WordStream in 2018, Alex served as an Automation Engineer, where they worked on online advertising projects using Python 2/3, Selenium, Robot Framework, Xpath, and YAML. Alex also utilized MongoDB and NoSQL as the back-end database. In 2019, they joined DoseSpot as a QA Engineer, working on a SaaS e-Rx platform and gaining expertise in Katalon, Selenium, SoapUI, Postman, JMeter, Salesforce, and SQL. Finally, in 2021, Alex became a Sr QA Engineer at KAID Health, responsible for testing the KAID Health SaaS Platform using various QA/Automation technologies and tools such as Cypress, Selenium, Postman, SonarQube, JMeter, Python 3, Snowflake, mongoDB, JIRA, and REDOX Engine.
Alex Pihlak attended Penn State University from 2011 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Public Relations. During their time at the university, Alex also pursued minors in Information Sciences and Technology, as well as Security and Risk Analysis.
