Tracey Deane

Tracey Deane is an experienced professional with a diverse background in local government and strategic planning. Currently serving as a Strategic Planning Advisor at Kaipara District Council since October 2020, Tracey has also fulfilled the role of Governance Advisor, managing various council committees and leading the project delivery of the council's Annual Report and Annual Plan. Prior experience includes a role at Waikato Regional Council in the Science & Strategy Directorate, where Tracey coordinated significant regional projects, as well as a Democracy Advisor position. Tracey has a strong foundation in economic development, having worked as an Economic Development Coordinator for South Waikato District Council, focusing on local business support and development initiatives. Earlier career roles include Finance & Marketing Director for Lincoln Aluminium Limited and freelance consulting in personal and corporate performance coaching, complemented by extensive educational training in various fields, including project management and te reo Māori.
