Barney Parsons

Barney Parsons has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in design, marketing, and management. Starting in 2009, they worked as a Lifeguard at Harrogate Borough Council until 2013. In 2015, they had roles as a Design Intern at SoVibrant Ltd and at Northumbria University, where they participated in the Salon Project focusing on sustainable design.

From 2015 to 2016, Barney worked as a Freelance Designer at iKoustic, providing design solutions to clients. In 2016, they served as a Design Intern at SLIMDESIGN, gaining valuable experience in industrial design.

Barney then joined iKoustic as a Design & Marketing Manager in 2017, where they designed and marketed acoustic solutions. Barney continued in this role until November 2020.

In 2019, Barney started their own venture called Barney Parsons Design, working as a Freelance Designer. During this time, they collaborated with clients to deliver innovative solutions that added value to their businesses. In 2020, they co-founded dooka.life, a brand and design studio focused on providing businesses with strategic direction and brand representation based on research and strategy.

Recently, in 2022, Barney has taken on the role of Creative Art Director at both Kairos Media and Kairos Group. Overall, their work experience showcases their expertise in design, marketing, and strategic direction.

Barney Parsons completed their education at several institutions. From 2013 to 2017, they attended Northumbria University, where they pursued a degree in Design for Industry, with a focus on Industrial and Product Design. In 2015 and 2016, Barney also studied at Yeungnam University, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial and Product Design. Additionally, in December 2009, they obtained certification in NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Association) from the institution of the same name.
