Floren Rubio

Floren Rubio is a Senior Test Engineer at Kairos Power since July 2018, with prior experience as a Post Bachelor Researcher at Los Alamos National Laboratory focusing on lead-bismuth eutectic corrosion studies and as a research assistant at UC Berkeley in Dr. Per Peterson's research group. Early career includes a role as a Quality Control technician at AMCAN and military service as a Machinist Mate Second Class Nuclear (ELT) in the US Navy, where training and experience included working onboard the USS Santa Fe. Floren Rubio holds a PhD in Nuclear Engineering from the University of New Mexico School of Engineering, a BS in Nuclear Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and an AA in Math and Natural Science from Napa Valley College.
