Kairos Power
Roberto Fairhurst Agosta is a Nuclear Engineer currently working at Kairos Power since February 2024, where design requirements for detection systems have been established through computational modeling, alongside leading a neutron activation analysis project. Previously, as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from August 2021 to December 2023, Roberto generated physics and data-based models to predict research reactor experiment failures and advanced conjugate heat transfer models. Summer internships at Argonne National Laboratory and Idaho National Laboratory focused on simulation and software quality assurance, respectively. Roberto holds a PhD in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, as well as a Master's degree in the same field, a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering from Instituto Balseiro, and an Engineer's degree in Electrical Engineering.
