Tyler Elsom

Tyler Elsom is an accomplished engineer currently serving as Engineer III in Power Generation Systems at Kairos Power since April 2023, focusing on the design of molten salt test loops for heat exchanger development. Prior roles at Kairos Power included Engineer II, emphasizing molten salt heat exchanger R&D, and an internship in Salt System Design. Additional experience includes a Senior Technical Internship at Daylight Solutions, where Tyler researched thermal contact resistance, a Manufacturing Technician position at Light Helmets, and an internship in Mechanical Engineering at DJO, where prototyping and testing were key responsibilities. Tyler holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, completed in June 2023, and a Bachelor of Science in the same field, awarded in 2022.
