Stephen Fortmann

Stephen Fortmann serves as the Senior Director, Science Programs, Distinguished Investigator, and Senior Investigator at Kaiser Permanente Center for Health Research since April 2010, focusing on medical research. Prior to this role, Stephen was a Professor at Stanford University Medical Center from 1979 to 2010, contributing significantly to the field of medical research. Stephen holds an M.D. in Medicine from the University of California, San Francisco - School of Medicine, obtained from 1970 to 1974, and an A.B. in Biology from Stanford University, completed from 1966 to 1970.
