Jay Deguzman

Jay DeGuzman, MSN, RN, CCM, currently serves as a Utilization Management Supervisor and Care Coordinator at El Camino Health since July 2019, while also functioning as a Patient Care Coordinator Case Manager at Kaiser Permanente since June 2018. Prior to these roles, Jay DeGuzman worked as a Clinical Nurse I at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center from October 2017 to May 2018 and as an Account Manager at Royal Ambulance from March 2013 to January 2016, where responsibilities included educating RNs and Care Coordinators on medical necessity for transportation and providing in-services on EMS topics. Jay DeGuzman began a career in healthcare as an EMT, administering treatment and basic life support to patients in a prehospital setting. Academic achievements include a Master of Science in Nursing from Samuel Merritt University and a Bachelor of Science in Health Science with a minor in Biological Sciences from San Jose State University.
