Alan Scher has a wealth of experience in various leadership roles within community centers and organizations. Alan is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at the Kaiserman Jewish Community Center. Prior to this, they worked as the Associate Executive Director for Program at the 14th Street Y for nearly eight years. Alan also held the position of Managing Director of Youth & Family Services at the YM & YWHA of Washington Heights and Inwood for four years. In addition, Alan served as the HYC Program Manager at the JCCSF and as the Manager of the Young Adult Engagement Initiative and Teen Program Manager at the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco. Before transitioning to community centers, they worked as a Supervising Teacher at CalSERVES, NCOEwest. Alan's strong supervisory, program management, and leadership skills are evident through their extensive work experience.
Alan Scher earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Cinematic Arts from the University of Southern California in 2002. Alan then pursued further education and obtained a Master's degree (MA) in Education from Sonoma State University in 2008.
