Pravin Paratey

Pravin Paratey has worked in various roles in the technology industry since 2005. In 2005, they were a Software Engineer at Webaroo, where they built a Closed Crawler, Indexer, Packaging system, Rewriting engine, Search system and an HTML parser for the Desktop and Windows Mobile Devices. In 2007, they were a Research Assistant at IIT Bombay, where they implemented a Transliteration Engine to transliterate between 13 Indian languages and English, as well as a document classifier and a summarisation engine. In 2008, they were a Sr. Product Engineer at Rediff.com, where they built a Semantic Ads framework to automatically extract information from an unstructured classifieds listing. Pravin was also Co-founder and CTO of Small World India Pvt. Ltd., where they created and exited a 2-person startup in the area of localized classified search. In 2010, they were a Senior Developer at Skimlinks, where they built Skimwords - a system for auto-linking phrases on publisher websites based on phrase performance, profile of the user visiting the page and the content of the page. In 2011, they were Co-founder and CTO of Affectv, where they were responsible for the technical strategy, roadmap, planning and executing the vision of the company. In 2015, they were an Engineering Manager at Facebook, where they worked on Facebook's advertising products and managed the teams responsible for launching Brand Awareness Objective, Reach Objective, Brand Polling and Creative Hub. In 2018, they were Head Of Engineering at OVO. In 2019, they were CTO at Kantan. Currently, they are Co-founder and CTO at Kaizan, where they are responsible for AI guiding Client Success teams to increase client happiness and revenue with Kaizan.

Pravin Paratey attended the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay from 1999 to 2003, where they earned a BTech in Computer Science.
