Andrew Baek

Dr. Baek currently serves as the CEO of Kakao Enterprise dealing with AI, Search, Cloud & Kakao Platform based Enterprise Solution, and service.

He was a President of LG Holding Company and the head of Synergy Team which is aimed at diversifying & strengthening biz. & product portfolio of LG on a group level. His mission was the development of new business and eco-system composed of partners around the world as well.

By 2013, he served as the Leader of Global Strategy and Overseas Business Division of LG CNS. As the chief strategist(CSO) with an in-depth background in consulting, he was responsible for defining and executing critical strategies for the company. He also managed LG CNS’s eleven (11) subsidiaries in key cities around the world. Prior to being the leader of Global Strategy Division, Dr. Baek was the Leader of the Business Delivery Division, commanding more than 3,700 IT professionals and 7 departments responsible for project execution and delivery. Dr. Baek invested a great part of his career in managing and implementing projects in the government sector. As a Vice President in the Public Sector Division having broad range of senior management skills and acumen for innovative services, he immensely contributed in making LG CNS the leader. He also boasts of managing the Supreme Court Land Registration Computerization Project which, up until now, is still the largest IT project in Korea in terms of project size and geographic scope.

In 2007, Korean Government awarded him the order of Industrial Service Merit for an outstanding contribution of the implementation of Korean e-government. Dr. Baek sat as a Vice President of Korean Academic Society of Business Administration and holds Advisory Member/Director positions in a number of IT and academic society. He was a Civilian Judicial Advisor for the Seoul Central District Court. Dr. Baek also has the distinction of being registered in MARQUIS “Who’s Who in the World” from 2007.
