Michelle Tames

Michelle Tames has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry spanning several years. Michelle currently serves as the Associate Director of Quality Operations at Kala Pharmaceuticals since December 2021. Prior to this role, they held the position of Senior Manager of Quality Operations at Kala Pharmaceuticals from September 2018 to June 2022.

Before joining Kala Pharmaceuticals, Michelle worked at Ipsen as the Head of Quality Control in 2017 and at Merrimack as a Senior QC Manager from 2014 to 2017. Their long-term tenure at Lonza as the Head of Analytical Biochemistry from August 1998 to 2014 showcases their expertise in analytical sciences.

Michelle's career began at Abbott Laboratories as an Associate Scientist from 1992 to 1997. Overall, their extensive experience in quality operations and analytical biochemistry positions their as a knowledgeable professional in the pharmaceutical industry.

Michelle Tames pursued their education in the field of Chemistry. Michelle completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree at UMass Boston, where they attended from 1984 to 1989. Following their undergraduate studies, they proceeded to Northwestern University, where they obtained their Master of Science (MS) degree in Chemistry from 1989 to 1990.
