Alejandro Alaniz

Alejandro Alaniz serves as the Assistant Director at the Center for Career and Professional Development at Kalamazoo College since June 2023, where responsibilities include developing and overseeing various programming initiatives, leading a donor-funded internship preparation program for first-generation college students, and delivering presentations on career development topics. Prior to this role, Alejandro worked as a Career Coach at Western Michigan University and as an Admissions Counselor, where event organization and application evaluation were key tasks. Alejandro's earlier experience as a Teacher at IDEA Public Schools involved developing curriculum and mentoring students through the college application process. Alejandro holds a Bachelor's degree in Spanish Language and Literature from Kalamazoo College and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Educational Leadership: Higher Education and Student Affairs at Western Michigan University.
