Dr. Grace Lubwama serves as the President and CEO of Kalamazoo Community Foundation since July 2023, focusing on resource mobilization to enhance the wellbeing of Kalamazoo residents, particularly the vulnerable. Prior to this role, Dr. Lubwama was the Chief Executive Officer at YWCA Kalamazoo for nearly a decade, where efforts were directed toward the elimination of racism and economic empowerment of women. Dr. Lubwama's extensive experience includes positions at World Vision, where responsibilities included leading community advocacy initiatives across the United States, and managing US programs operations in Southern California. Dr. Lubwama also held the Executive Director position at Antelope Valley Partners for Health, overseeing a significant public health budget and initiatives, and began a career in health education at Boston University School of Public Health, leading minority outreach for a national breast cancer research study. Dr. Lubwama holds a Doctorate in Policy Planning and Development from the University of Southern California, a Master's in Public Health from Boston University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Art and Design from Makerere University.
