Jennifer Heymoss is the VP of Initiatives & Public Policy at Kalamazoo Community Foundation. Jennifer has dedicated their career to education, leadership, and philanthropy.

Jennifer started their career as an English teacher in Kalamazoo Public Schools. Jennifer then transitioned to Western Michigan University, where they taught courses for the College of Education and Human Development around educational leadership, ed tech, and socio-cultural foundations of education. In 2013, they took on the role of Jeter's Leaders Program Director with the Turn 2 Foundation Inc. In this role, they were responsible for planning the delivery of the program and its activities, developing long-term goals and objectives, and managing all administrative aspects of the satellite office.

In their current role at the Kalamazoo Community Foundation, Jennifer is responsible for leading initiatives that create positive change in the community. Jennifer also oversees the Foundation's public policy efforts. Jennifer's passion for education and leadership has made their a valuable asset to the Kalamazoo community.

Jennifer Heymoss earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Western Michigan University and a Master of Arts in Socio-Cultural Studies of Education from the same school.

Jennifer Heymoss reports to Vallay Varro, Interim Co-President & CEO. Frances Vicioso - Co-Director, Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation, Emily Olivares - Co-Director, Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation report to Jennifer Heymoss. They are on a team with Joanna Donnelly Dales - VP of Donor Relations, Kururama Masomere - Impact Investment Director, and Sarah Lee - Marketing Communications Director.
