Sam Nelson

Sam Nelson is an experienced logistics and operations professional currently serving as Materials Manager at Gulfstream Aerospace since January 2024. With a diverse background in military and civilian roles, Sam has held significant positions within the United States Army Reserve, including Joint Mobility Operations Officer at USTRANSCOM and Company Commander of the 516th Transportation Company. Previous experience includes leadership in logistics at PuppySpot as Director of Logistics and at Eaton as Division Logistics Manager. Sam's career in logistics was also shaped by roles at Amazon, Federated Information Technologies, Inc., and Science and Engineering Services, LLC. Academically, Sam holds a BA in Sociology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and an MBA in Aerospace and Defense from the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee.
