Sam Baber

Sam Baber has an extensive work history with experience in various leadership roles focused on talent management, organizational development, and HR operations.

In 2023, Sam Baber joined Kalkomey Enterprises, LLC as the SVP People, where they currently work. Prior to this role, from January to March 2023, they served as the Interim VP of HR for the same company.

From 2019 to 2022, Sam worked at Storable as the VP Talent and then as the Senior Director Talent. In these roles, they led and managed teams responsible for recruiting, learning and development, and talent function. They implemented various programs and systems, such as Greenhouse and Absorb, to improve metrics and reporting. They also played a crucial role in transitioning the business to a fully virtual environment in 2020.

Before Storable, from 2018 to 2019, Sam was the CEO of Talent Experience Agency, a consulting firm that provided performance development solutions for executives and leaders in small to medium-sized companies.

Sam has also held positions at other organizations, including Percipience, LLC as the President, CognitiveScale as the Head of People Ops, Spredfast as the VP of Talent & Development, Adometry as the Director of Talent (acquired by Google), Affiniscape as the Director of Talent Development (acquired by YourMembership.com), Bazaarvoice as a Training & Development Specialist and University Recruiting Program Manager, and as a Writing Coach as a freelancer.

Throughout their career, Sam has demonstrated strong leadership skills, expertise in talent management, and a focus on creating employee-oriented cultures. They have implemented various programs, conducted coaching and development, and played a key role in company growth and transitions.

Sam Baber has a Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) degree in Creative Writing from Emerson College. Sam also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Literature and Theater from Bennington College. Prior to their college education, they attended James Martin High School. In addition to their academic qualifications, Sam has obtained a certification in BIrkman from Birkman International in June 2014.
