Michael Durkee has extensive work experience in various technical roles. In 1989, they worked as a Systems Technician at Crosfield Systems, where they conducted optical, electrical, and mechanical alignments. In 1990, they joined Creonics as a Test Technician, responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic and mechanical assemblies. From 1991 to 1996, they served as a Senior Test Technician at Optronics, specializing in aligning optics and troubleshooting and repairing complete systems. Since 1997, Michael has been working at Kalow Technologies, starting as a Materials Manager and later taking on additional responsibilities such as assisting in prototype panel design and building, PLC programming, and providing technical and sales support for various customers. Michael is also experienced in inventory management, cost analysis, and implementing ECOs (engineering change orders).
Michael Durkee attended Vermont Technical College from 1987 to 1989, where they obtained an ASEEE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Kalow Technologies is 35 year old diversified and growing contract manufacturer with 75 people located in Rutland, VT. In addition to manufacturing, we are strong in Engineering and have our own sheet metal fabrication shop with a laser and robot welder. Our sweet spot has been electromechanical machine assembly. We serve a variety of customers and market sectors, for example we are one step removed from Amazon or GE, yet we help very innovative start-ups bring their great ideas to fruition. We source inspect, package, ship, refurbish and handle spare parts for products from and to next door, or across the country, and often overseas. As a key supplier locally and nationally, we’ve recently won Vermont Business Magazines’ 5x5x5 growth award several times in the last decade, and just this past year we were a runner up for the Outstanding Business of the Year, recognizing growth, employees, community and environment
