Raphael Defretin

Raphael Defretin began their work experience in 2007 as an intern at STMicroelectronics, working on imaging. Raphael then moved on to work at CEA as a student in a final project for two months in 2009. From 2009 to 2013, Raphael worked at Amesys Conseil as a consulting engineer, where they primarily collaborated with Kalray on multiple tasks including design verification, FPGA designs, and applying DFT. In 2013, they joined KalRay as a Functional Verification and Test Engineer, responsible for block level functional verification of various designs and developing verification environments and custom VIPs. Currently, Raphael is working at STMicroelectronics in the role of a Senior Design Verification Engineer since 2020.

Raphael Defretin obtained their Engineer's degree in Electronique, Télecommunications et Informatique from CPE Lyon, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. Prior to that, they completed their PTSI-PT degree at Lycée Vaucanson Grenoble, attending from 2003 to 2005. Earlier in their education, Raphael attended Lycée de Vizille, although specific details regarding the duration and field of study are unavailable.
