Julian Norman

Julian Norman has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Julian started their career in 2007 at Sun Chemical as a Technologist. From 2007 to 2015, they worked at IOP Publishing, where they held various positions, including Publishing Editor and Senior Product Manager. At IOP Publishing, Julian was responsible for the strategy, development roadmap, and user engagement of the academic journals and books publishing platform, IOPscience.

In 2015, Julian joined JUST EAT as a Product Manager, where they focused on improving the product for Spanish consumers and restaurant partners. Julian collaborated with the local sales, operations, and marketing teams and influenced the global Just Eat product roadmap.

In 2017, Julian joined OVO Energy as a Product Manager, later promoted to Senior Product Manager and then Product Lead. At OVO Energy, they led and coached a group of product managers and teams, covering end-to-end energy retail experience and underlying platform developments.

Currently, Julian works at Kaluza as the Head of Product Marketing, a position they have held since July 2022. In this role, they lead a group of product teams to develop a cutting-edge platform for energy retailers. Julian is responsible for the strategic direction and leadership of the energy pricing and billing group of products on the Kaluza platform, guiding the department to deliver value for energy retailers and consumers by employing a data-driven approach to innovation in the industry.

Julian Norman obtained a BSc in Physics with Astrophysics from The University of Manchester between 2003 and 2006. In 2013, they received a certification as a Certified Scrum Product Owner from Agilify. In the same year, they also received training in Project Management from Learning Tree. In 2011, Julian completed a program in Complete Product Management from Tarigo. Additionally, they hold certifications such as the BCS Certificate in Commercial Awareness from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT (obtained in 2019) and the Certified Scrum Product Owner from Scrum Alliance (obtained in 2014).
