Tammy Miles is the K-12 Dean of Academics at Kamehameha Schools Kapālama, a position held since May 2022, where collaboration with campus leadership and Deans of Academics focuses on promoting student achievement and innovative curriculum design. Prior roles at Kamehameha Schools from July 2013 to August 2018 included Director of Curriculum and Educator Growth, Education Program Manager, Interim Regional Director, and Literacy Lead Teacher. Additional experience includes serving as Curriculum Coordinator and Grade 4 Teacher at The Alexander Dawson School at Rainbow Mountain from August 2005 to July 2013, Instructor at Nevada State College in 2007, and Co-director of the Hawaii Writing Project at the University of Hawaii at Manoa from 2000 to 2007. Tammy Miles began an educational career as a Teacher with the Hawaii State Department of Education from 1997 to 2000. Tammy Miles holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from the University of Portland.
