Gutemberg Fragoso has worked in a variety of roles in the finance and business industries since 2004. Gutemberg began their career as a Trainee at PwC in 2004 and then worked as an Analyst at McKinsey & Company in 2007. In 2009, they returned to McKinsey & Company as a Corporate Finance Analyst, where they worked until 2011. During this time, they provided support to clients in numerous industries, focusing on equity valuation, financial analysis, and general capital-market-related issues in the context of strategy and M&A projects. In 2011, they joined Groupon Brasil as their CFO, where they managed a team of 40 analysts and was responsible for the Finance Department/Accounting. Gutemberg was promoted to Finance Director in 2012, where they managed 25 analysts, built the FP&A teams, and oversaw the Administration Team. In the same year, they also became Co-founder of SAPPOS, leveraging new business, bringing cutting-edge technology to Brazilian mobile market, and building the best rockstar engineering team. In 2014, they became CMO/CPO at ComparaOnline SA, the biggest online marketplace for financial products in Latin America. In this role, they managed a team of 15 professionals, was responsible for Product Development Roadmap, and executed and supported the definition of Marketing Strategy. Gutemberg was also promoted to Country Manager in Brazil in the same year. In 2017, they joined Amazon as their Amazon - Livros/Books - Marketing e Product, where they helped define and deliver the overall Kindle strategy and drove adoption of Kindle and digital reading. Gutemberg currently works as CPO & Founder at Kamino, where they are responsible for the process from end-to-end, from opening offshore structures to sending remittances to Brazil.
Gutemberg Fragoso has an education history that includes a Master's degree in Entrepreneurship & Innovation/Mestrado em Empreendedorismo & Inovação from the School of Economics, Business and Accounting at the University of São Paulo from 2020 to 2022, an Economics degree from Universidade Estadual de Campinas from 2001 to 2006, and a secondary education from Objetivo/Escola Estadual N. S. Lourdes.
