Cynthia Monserrat Galicia Medina is a Ph.D. student in Metabolism and Endocrinology at Kanazawa University, focusing on the development of new biomarkers for early disease detection. Prior experience includes roles as a Computer System Validation Engineer at Grupo Bruluart, where validation plans and protocols were developed for the life sciences industry, and various consultancy positions in computer system validation for high-profile clients such as Reckitt Benckiser and Genentech Inc. Cynthia has also contributed to research in Medical Preventive Science, exploring the impacts of overnutrition on energy homeostasis, and has a solid background in biotechnology, having earned a Master’s in Environmental Systems and a Bachelor’s in Biotechnology from Tecnológico de Monterrey. Additional academic experiences include a research internship at UC Irvine's BioMEMS Lab and work in drug development at Liomont Pharmaceutical Company.
