Purna Kharel

Purna Kharel, PE, is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the electrical engineering field. Currently, Purna serves as the Founder, President, and CEO of K&A Engineering Consulting since October 2016. Prior to this role, Purna held the position of Director of Transmission & Distribution in Denver at AECOM from February 2015 to December 2016, managing the Denver T&D Group's projects and financial performance. Purna's earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Project Manager for the Marcy South Series Compensation Program at CH2M HILL, where the focus was on the installation of 345kV series capacitors and upgrades to multiple substations and transmission lines. Purna has also held roles as Principal Electrical Engineer at Mallinckrodt Chemicals, Substation Lead Engineer at Black & Veatch, and Electrical Engineer at Nepal Electricity Authority. Purna holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Wichita State University and a Bachelor’s degree from the Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk Campus.
