Chris Burchell

Chris Burchell is a seasoned security professional with extensive experience in cybersecurity and malware analysis. Since December 2021, Chris has served as a Senior Security Researcher and Detections Engineer at Kandji, specializing as a YARA Subject Matter Expert. Prior to this role, Chris worked at Webroot from March 2015 to December 2021, where responsibilities included roles as a Mac Threat Research Analyst, Advanced Malware Removal Engineer, and Front Line Engineer. Chris holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government/Business from The University of Texas at Austin, obtained between 2000 and 2005, as well as an Associate's degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from Front Range Community College, completed from 2012 to 2014.
