Hila Korach Rechtman

Hila Korach Rechtman has a diverse work experience in various fields. Hila is currently working as the Head of Research at Kando, where they focus on wastewater-based epidemiology (WBE) research. Hila'sresponsibilities include identifying targets and markers for data-driven decision making by public health officials, collaborating with academic partners, conducting pilot studies using wastewater data, and testing new technologies for customer improvement.

Prior to their current role, Hila worked as an Assistant Lecturer at the Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT) and as a Senior Research Associate at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. At Technion, they led a research team in two industry-oriented projects related to targeted delivery and personalized medicine technologies. Hila also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher and a Youth Research Instructor, where they guided students in various science-related subjects.

Hila has also gained teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant at Technion International and Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. Additionally, they held various positions within the Technion Student Association, including being the Chairwoman of the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Engineering.

Before venturing into the academic and research field, Hila served as a Logistics Officer in the Israel Defense Forces. In this role, they were responsible for transportation operations and management, as well as the planning and execution of HR promotion programs.

Hila Korach Rechtman completed their education at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. Hila obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biotechnology and Food Science from 2008 to 2012. Subsequently, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biotechnology, specializing in the field of study from 2012 to 2019. Continuing their academic journey, they are currently working towards a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, expected to be completed from 2021 to 2023. Aside from their formal education, Hila has also obtained additional certifications. In 2013, they completed the Principles of Humane Animal Experiments certification at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. In 2020, they obtained two more certifications, namely Clinical Research Associate Certification (CRA) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP), from GCP Clinical Studies.
